LEAD ABATEMENT
Do you own a home or building built before 1970? There’s a good chance it has lead paint, which is toxic for humans and can cause illness. Our team has decades of experience in testing for lead paint exposure and are experts in lead abatement. We help restore a healthy environment to your work or home.
HOW TO GET RID OF LEAD PAINT
We are trained and EPA certified lead renovators skilled in replacement and removal of lead based paint.
Replacement permanently removes all lead-based paint by removing the building surfaces containing lead and reconstructing the building with new lead-free materials and fresh paint.
Removal of lead based paint involves misting the paint and scraping or planing it off the surface. Lead removal produces a lot of dust which must be thoroughly collected. Heat guns can also be used to remove lead paint but pose a risk of fire and/or releasing toxic fumes into the air.
It’s much safer to entrust your lead removal project to licensed and certified professionals.

Frequently Asked Questions
As lead paint ages it can chip or crumble releasing toxic lead dust in the air which is especially harmful to children and pregnant women. If you suspect you or your child has been exposed to lead-based paint, you should speak with a doctor.
The removal or treatment of areas with lead-based paint require full-body protection and HEPA respirators to filter lead dust and fumes. Each type of lead abatement actually causes more lead dust so it’s imperative to clean up carefully, use the proper equipment, and keep the contaminated areas closed off from others. The safest and most effective option is to consult with a professionally trained and certified lead abatement company.

BioSweep and their team are amazing! I can’t say enough about my wonderful experience with them after my car was flooded and had to be dried out and mold removed. Rebecca was amazing, very professional and very responsive to any questions I had as this was the first time I found myself in this awful situation. Rebecca kept me updated on the status of my car and went out of her way keep me informed. They did an amazing job on cleaning my car. I would highly recommend them. Thank you BioSweep!
